All items are cleaned and cured by hand, and the figures may require some minor finishing if needed before painting. The condition is new and they are dispatched by Royal Mail 2nd class.
Our packaging is Eco friendly, the exterior packing is made in part from Recycled Materials and is fully recyclable, the interior packing materials are acid free and made from 99% recycled pulp fibres.
Please do bear in mind that resin can be quite delicate so try to avoid dropping your parts! Sadly, we cant be held responsible for breakages once your item has arrived. However, if the piece is broken in the post, please provide images and we will see what we can do to help to make things good.
Needless to say these items are not toys and are not suitable for minors as they could be a choking hazard because of small parts.

FAQ – Product FAQs
General Product FAQs
What scale is this driver figure?
The driver is G-Scale 1:22 and stands at approximately 55 mm tall, making him ideal for layouts that use LGB, Bachmann and similar G-scale stock.
How were these figures created?
The figures are 3D scanned from real people, which gives them very realistic proportions, facial detail and natural-looking poses that suit both cab and yard scenes.
Is the figure supplied painted?
No, the figure is supplied unpainted. This lets you finish him in the colours and railway company style that best match your own layout.
What material is the figure made from?
The figure is printed in the UK using high-detail resin. This material captures fine detail very well but should be handled with care as it can be delicate.
How is the figure packaged and shipped?
The figure is dispatched by Royal Mail 2nd Class. The outer packaging is eco-friendly, made in part from recycled materials and fully recyclable, while the inner packing is acid-free and made from 99% recycled pulp fibres.
Is this suitable for children?
No, these items are not toys and are not suitable for minors. They contain small parts and present a choking hazard, so they are intended for adult modellers only.
Troubleshooting FAQs
My figure arrived broken, what should I do?
If the figure appears to have been damaged in the post, please take clear photos of the damage and the packaging and get in touch with those images. While we cannot be responsible for accidental damage after delivery, we will always see what we can do to help put things right when breakage occurs in transit.
The resin looks slightly rough in places, is this normal?
All items are cleaned and cured by hand, and it is normal for resin figures to need a little minor finishing. Light sanding or scraping of any small imperfections before priming and painting is expected as part of the modelling process.
The figure seems very delicate. How should I handle it?
Resin can be quite fragile, especially around thin parts like arms or tools. Handle the figure by the more solid areas, avoid twisting limbs, and try not to drop it. Once it is primed and painted, it is still best treated as a display model rather than a toy.
The figure does not sit quite right in my cab, what can I do?
Because cabs and footplates vary between manufacturers, you may need to gently adjust your cab interior or lightly file the base of the figure to achieve a good fit. Work slowly and test-fit frequently to avoid removing too much material.
There is a slight bend on a thin part, can it be corrected?
Minor bends in thin resin parts can often be improved by very gently warming the area (for example, with warm—not hot—water) and carefully easing it back into position. Always support the part well and avoid excessive force to prevent snapping.
Assembly & Painting FAQs
Does the figure require assembly?
The figure is supplied as a resin model and may require only minor finishing such as light cleaning or sanding before painting. There is no complex assembly, but check for any small areas that might benefit from a quick tidy-up.
How should I prepare the figure before painting?
Before painting, inspect the figure and, if needed, lightly sand or scrape any small mould lines or surface imperfections. Ensure the model is clean and dry, then apply a suitable primer so your paint adheres well and the surface detail is preserved.
Which primer should I use?
The figure can be primed with Halfords grey primer or Tamiya Fine Surface Primer. Both give a smooth, even base that works well with the high-detail resin and helps your top coats of paint go on cleanly.
Do you recommend any particular paints?
The description specifies suitable primers but not particular paint brands. Most hobby acrylics or enamels designed for miniatures and models will work well over a properly primed surface, so you can use the range you are already comfortable with on your railway stock.
Any tips for painting a realistic driver?
Because the figure is 3D scanned from a real person, the detail rewards careful painting. After priming, you can:
- Block in basic colours for clothing, skin and boots.
- Add gentle shading and highlights to folds in the clothing and facial features.
- Finish with small touches like buttons, cap bands or weathering to match the condition of your locomotive and yard.
