OO9/009 Tom Rolt Barclay Steam Locomotive fits the Kato chassis 11-109

Capture the spirit of narrow gauge steam on your layout with this easy-to-build kit inspired by the Talyllyn Railway’s unique "Tom Rolt" locomotive.

Designed specifically for OO9 modellers, the resin body and detail parts are crafted to clip straight onto a Kato 11-109 motor bogie chassis (not included—see our shop for compatible units). The kit includes a separate cab interior, detailed boiler, and 3D-scanned driver and fireman to enhance the authenticity. Supplied unpainted and unassembled, this kit is an enjoyable project whether you’re a seasoned narrow gauge modeller or just starting out. The surfaces are ready for priming with your choice of Halfords or Tamiya products, before finishing with acrylics.

"Tom Rolt" itself is a true piece of railway history—rebuilt by the Talyllyn Railway from an original 1949 Andrew Barclay locomotive. Our model brings a slice of this heritage to your OO9 collection.

All components are resin printed in the UK for sharp detail. We carefully remove supports, though you may wish to do some fine sanding before priming. Please note: resin parts are delicate—handle with care. The sale includes the body, interior, crew figures, and couplings. The Kato chassis shown in photos is for illustration only and is not included.
