Product details

Transform your Smokey Joe into a slow runner with this 5-pole core motor for Hornby locos. It replaces the X8966 motor and fits right into your existing chassis with no wiring needed. 


Just pull off the existing worm gear and fit it to the motor, I use a small touch of super glue to keep it in place. 

This product includes only the 5-pole motor, so you'll need to use your own worm gears and flywheels. Rated at 12V, it works with all controllers.

These motors are new and tested, but they might have some cosmetic imperfections on the casing as shown in the pictures.

The improvement in your Smokey Joe's performance is incredible, as you can see in the video. This conversion is perfect for OO models, O16-5, NG7, and especially GN15 locomotives.

NOTE: the worm gear pictured, the chassis are not included as these are for  information purposes to show how they fit.
