Finishing: All items are cleaned and cured by hand. They are unassembled (if needed). Ready for you to prime and paint. We do our very best to remove support marks but some fine sanding may be required. All pieces and parts come unprimed and unpainted with all supports removed. Please do bear in mind that resin can be quite delicate so try to avoid dropping your parts! Sadly, we can't be held responsible for breakages once your item has arrived. However, if the piece is broken in the post, please provide images and we will of course see what we can do to help.

Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is included in this twin pack?
The pack includes two unpainted high-detail resin storage tanks on brick supports, in the sizes described: one approximately 32mm x 25mm x 36mm tall and one approximately 44mm x 25mm x 38mm tall. No additional accessories or scenery items are included.
What can these storage tanks represent on my layout?
They are ideal for representing depot or industrial tanks such as diesel, water, fuel oil or gasoline. You can place them in engine sheds, fuel points, small depots or general industrial scenes.
What material are the tanks made from?
The tanks are printed in high detail resin. This gives crisp detail but also means the parts are more delicate than traditional plastic kits, so they should be handled with care.
Are the models supplied painted or primed?
The tanks are supplied unprimed and unpainted. They are cleaned, cured and have their supports removed, but you will need to prime and paint them yourself.
Are these suitable for beginners to add to a layout?
Yes. There is no complex construction required and the painting is straightforward. A simple primer coat and a few washes will already give a convincing depot tank appearance, making them friendly for beginners and experienced modellers alike.
Where are these models produced?
All models are printed in-house in the UK using high detail resin, then cleaned, cured and checked by hand before dispatch.
My tanks arrived with a slight surface roughness. Is this normal?
A small amount of surface texture or faint support marks can occur with resin printing. We do our very best to remove support marks, but some very fine sanding may still be required before priming to achieve the smoothest finish.
One of the tanks arrived broken in the post. What should I do?
If your item appears to have been damaged in transit, please take clear photos of the damage and the packaging and contact the seller. While we cannot be responsible for damage after safe delivery, we will of course see what we can do to help with postal breakages.
The tanks seem slightly flexible or delicate. Is that a fault?
No, resin parts are naturally more delicate than injection-moulded plastic. This is normal and allows for finer detail. Avoid dropping the models or putting heavy pressure on thin areas, and they should perform well on a layout.
There is a faint oily or shiny look on the surface. Do I need to re-clean the model?
All items are cleaned and cured by hand before shipping, so additional cleaning is usually unnecessary. If you prefer, you can give the surface a light wash in lukewarm water with a tiny amount of mild detergent, then allow it to dry fully before priming.
The tanks do not sit perfectly flat on my baseboard. How can I fix this?
If there is a slight wobble, gently check the underside of the brick supports. A few careful passes with fine sandpaper on a flat surface will usually true them up so they sit flat on your layout.
Do the tanks come pre-assembled on their brick supports?
The tanks are supplied unassembled if needed. In practice, this means that some versions may require you to attach the tank to its brick supports, while others may arrive as a single piece. In all cases, there is no complex multi-part kit to build.
Do I need any special tools to assemble the tanks?
Only basic modelling tools are required. Typically you will need:
- Fine sandpaper or sanding sticks for smoothing any remaining marks
- A small file, if desired, for precise cleanup
- Suitable glue for resin, such as cyanoacrylate (super glue), if your tanks arrive in more than one part
How should I prime the resin before painting?
The models are easily painted with a grey car primer. Spray in light, even coats, allowing each coat to dry before the next. Ensure the surface is dry and dust-free before priming for the best adhesion.
What kind of paints and finishes work well on these tanks?
After priming with grey car primer, you can use acrylic or enamel model paints. To bring them to life, apply dark washes and rust-tinted washes to pick out the detail and create realistic weathering on the tank body and brick supports.
How can I achieve a realistic weathered look?
Once the base colours are on, use:
- Dark washes to emphasise panel lines, brackets and shadows
- Rust-tinted washes and streaks around seams, supports and the underside of the tank
- Dry-brushing with a lighter shade on edges and brickwork to highlight texture
Do I need to fill any gaps before painting?
Most prints will not need filler, but if you notice any tiny imperfections or joints (on versions supplied in more than one part), you can use a small amount of modelling putty, sand it smooth once cured, and then prime as normal.
Any tips for handling the models while painting?
Because resin can be delicate, avoid gripping the thinnest parts. You can temporarily tack the base of the brick supports to a painting stick or scrap wood with low-tack tape or a small blob of removable adhesive to keep your fingers off the detail while spraying and weathering.
