Please do bear in mind that resin can be quite delicate so try to avoid dropping your parts! Sadly, we cant be held responsible for breakages once your item has arrived. However, if the piece is broken in the post, please provide images and we will see what we can do to help to make things good.

FAQ – Product FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
What scale is this figure and how tall is it?
This figure is G-Scale 1:22 and stands at approximately 75 mm tall, making it ideal for layouts in the same scale as LGB, Bachmann and similar brands.
What does the figure represent?
The figure is of a man wearing a driver’s cap, suitable for use as either a locomotive driver or a workyard operator on your layout.
Is the figure supplied painted?
No, the figure is supplied unpainted so you can finish it in your own livery and style to match your railway or diorama.
How is the figure produced?
The figure is 3D scanned from a real person to capture realistic looks and poses, and then printed in the UK using high-detail resin.
What condition is the item in when I receive it?
Each figure is new, cleaned and cured by hand. You may find a little minor finishing is helpful before painting, but it is ready for priming when it arrives.
How is the item shipped and from where?
The model is printed and dispatched from the UK and sent by Royal Mail 2nd Class.
Is the packaging environmentally friendly?
Yes. The outer packaging is made in part from recycled materials and is fully recyclable. The interior packing materials are acid-free and made from 99% recycled pulp fibres.
Is this product suitable for children?
No. These figures are not toys and are not suitable for minors, as the small parts can pose a choking hazard.
Can I use this figure outdoors on a garden railway?
The figure is printed in resin and can be used on garden railways, but resin can be delicate. Take care to protect it from knocks, drops and prolonged harsh conditions to keep it looking its best.
Can I use this figure with other G-Scale brands?
Yes. The figure is 1:22 scale, making it suitable for layouts and stock in the same scale, such as LGB, Bachmann and similar G-Scale ranges.
What should I do if the figure arrives broken?
If your figure appears to have been damaged in the post, please take clear photos of the damage and packaging and contact us. We will review the images and see what we can do to help put things right.
What if I break the figure after it arrives?
Once the item has arrived safely, we unfortunately cannot be held responsible for accidental damage such as drops or mishandling. Resin is delicate, so handle the figure carefully when unpacking, assembling and placing it on your layout.
The surface looks slightly rough in places. Is this normal?
Minor surface texture or tiny marks can occur with high-detail resin printing and hand cleaning. A light sand and a good quality primer usually smooths everything out nicely before painting.
The figure doesn’t sit or stand quite right where I want it. What can I do?
Resin figures sometimes benefit from a little fettling. You can gently sand or file the base or the contact points on your cab floor, footplate or yard surface to achieve a stable, natural pose.
There are small marks from supports. How do I deal with them?
Any remaining support marks can usually be removed with fine files or sanding sticks. Work slowly, test-fit the figure as you go, and then prime to check the finish before applying your main colours.
Does the figure need any preparation before priming?
Although the figure is cleaned and cured by hand, it is good practice to:
- Inspect for any small nubs or support marks and remove them gently.
- Give the figure a quick rinse in lukewarm water and mild detergent, then let it dry fully.
- Handle with clean, dry hands to avoid fingerprints before priming.
Which primers work well on this figure?
The figure can be primed with Halfords grey primer or Tamiya fine surface primer, both of which give a good key for acrylic or enamel top coats.
Do I need to use a special paint for resin?
No special paint is required, but use hobby paints designed for models. Once primed with a suitable primer such as Halfords grey or Tamiya fine surface primer, most model acrylics or enamels will adhere well.
How should I handle the figure during assembly and painting?
Because resin is delicate, try to:
- Avoid dropping or bending any thinner areas.
- Mount the figure on a temporary handle (such as a stick or old paint pot with blu-tack) while painting.
- Let each coat of paint dry fully before handling or moving the figure.
Can I modify or convert the figure?
You can carefully trim, drill or add details if you are comfortable working with resin, but always cut slowly and support the part well. Any conversion work is at your own risk due to the delicate nature of the material.
