Includes Tungsten Putty & 3D-Scanned Driver Figure, (Chassis not included – designed for the Tsugawa TU-DB158) This listing is for a highly detailed OO9 scale resin kit of the compact Baguley 10HP petrol locomotive, originally developed for military use during the First World War. Over 50 of these lightweight locomotives were built by Baguley Cars Ltd in response to a War Department order for motive power that could run on ultra-light 9lb portable rail – the kind used in temporary trench railway systems. Though they met the technical specifications, these small engines struggled at the front line and were mainly used in supply and maintenance roles behind the front. Despite their limitations, several examples survived and are still in use today on heritage and preservation Includes Tungsten Putty & 3D-Scanned Driver Figure, (Chassis not included – designed for the Tsugawa TU-DB158) This listing is for a highly detailed OO9 scale resin kit of the compact Baguley 10HP petrol locomotive, originally developed for military use during the First World War. Kit Contents:Supplied as an unpainted resin kit (2 body parts) Includes a 3D-scanned driver figure Tungsten putty supplied to add essential weight for smooth running Brass rod included for making body locating and coupling pins Designed for OO9 scale – runs on 9mm gauge track (N gauge track width with OO scale proportions) Designed to fit the Tsugawa TU-DB158 chassis (not included) Includes photos of a painted example for reference only Important – Advanced Skill RequiredThis is not a beginner’s kit. While compact, getting a reliable runner from this model takes some modification work: Motor Upgrade Needed The Tsugawa TU-DB158 chassis uses a low-voltage motor. To improve running, you will need to replace it with a 12V motor, available from several suppliers. This may require removing the worm gear and re-soldering the wires. Track Running Modifications Due to its underslung gear configuration, this chassis may stall or bounce on pointwork unless you adjust the gear depth. This can be done carefully with a file. There are several video guides on YouTube showing how to do this. Finishing NotesAll items are cleaned and UV-cured by hand. They are supplied unassembled and unpainted, ready for you to prime and paint as desired. We do our best to remove all support marks during production, but a little light sanding or clean-up may still be needed to achieve a perfect finish. Please note: All parts are unpainted and unprimed, with supports removed. Painted model photos are for reference only. Resin can be fragile, especially with fine details – please handle with care and avoid dropping parts. Unfortunately, we cannot accept responsibility for damage caused after delivery. If you're confident with fine modelling and small mechanical tweaks, this locomotive is a rewarding and unique project—ideal for WW1 trench railways, industrial scenes, or preserved-era layouts.
