When painted these are nice additions to any layout.
The model is printed here in the UK using high detail resin. The models are supplied unpainted and can be primered with halfords grey primer or tamiya fine surface primer.
All items are cleaned and cured by hand, and the pieces may require some minor finishing if needed before painting. The condition is new and they are dispatched by Royal Mail 2nd class.
Our packaging is Eco friendly, the exterior packing is made in part from Recycled Materials and is fully recyclable, the interior packing materials are acid free and made from 99% recycled pulp fibres.
Please do bear in mind that resin can be quite delicate so try to avoid dropping your parts! Sadly, we cant be held responsible for breakages once your item has arrived. However, if the piece is broken in the post, please provide images and we will see what we can do to help to make things good.
Needless to say these items are not toys and are not suitable for minors as they could be a choking hazard because of small parts.

FAQ – Two Really Nice Country Bus Shelters with Station Flags
What exactly do I get with this product?
You receive two high-detail resin country bus shelters with station flags, supplied unpainted and ready for you to prime and paint to suit your layout.
Are the bus shelters ready to use straight out of the box?
The models are supplied fully printed, cleaned, and cured, but unpainted. They may need a little minor finishing before painting, such as light sanding or tidying up, depending on your preference.
What material are the bus shelters made from?
The shelters are 3D printed in the UK using high detail resin. Resin gives crisp detail but should be handled carefully as it can be delicate.
How are the items packaged and shipped?
The models are shipped from stock by Royal Mail 2nd Class. Packaging is eco-friendly: the outer packaging is partly made from recycled materials and is fully recyclable, and the inner packing is acid-free and made from 99% recycled pulp fibres.
Are these suitable for children?
No. These are detailed scale models, not toys. They contain small parts and are not suitable for minors due to choking hazard and the delicate nature of resin.
Who is the design licensed from?
The bus shelters are sold under commercial license from Design Scan Print 3D.
My model arrived with a slight surface texture. Is that normal?
Yes, a very light surface texture or tiny print artefacts can occur with high-detail resin printing. These are usually easy to smooth out with gentle sanding or a light pass of primer before your main paint coats.
One of the shelters arrived broken in the post. What should I do?
If the model is damaged during delivery, please take clear photos of the damage and the packaging and contact the seller. While breakages after arrival can’t be covered, damage in transit will be reviewed and the seller will see what can be done to put things right.
The resin feels brittle. Is that a fault?
Resin models are naturally more delicate than plastic kits or metal castings. This isn’t a fault, but a characteristic of the material. Handle the shelters gently, avoid dropping them, and support thinner parts when working on them.
My primer is not sticking well. What can I do?
Although the models are cleaned and cured by hand, it can help to very lightly wash them in lukewarm water with a tiny drop of mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and let them dry completely before priming. Then apply a light mist coat of a suitable primer such as Halfords grey primer or Tamiya Fine Surface Primer.
The model seems slightly warped or out of shape. Can I fix it?
Minor warping can sometimes be gently corrected by carefully warming the affected area in lukewarm (not hot) water, then easing it back into shape and holding it until it cools. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first and avoid excessive heat.
There are small bits of support or flash left on my model. How should I remove them?
Any remaining support nubs or flash can usually be removed with a sharp hobby knife and then smoothed with fine sandpaper or sanding sticks. Work slowly and support the part from behind to avoid snapping delicate details.
Do I need to assemble anything on these bus shelters?
The shelters are supplied as printed pieces and are ready to paint. Any minor finishing is limited to cleaning up surfaces rather than building from multiple kit parts.
What primer should I use on the resin?
The models can be primed with Halfords grey primer or Tamiya Fine Surface Primer, both of which work well on resin. Apply several light coats rather than one heavy coat to preserve the fine detail.
How should I prepare the surface before painting?
Check for any small print artefacts or support marks and gently sand them if needed. Optionally, wash the model in lukewarm water with a tiny amount of mild detergent, rinse, and air dry fully. Once dry, apply your chosen primer in thin coats.
What type of paints work best on these shelters?
Once primed with a suitable primer such as Halfords grey or Tamiya Fine Surface Primer, you can use your usual model paints (for example, acrylics or enamels that are compatible with your primer). Always follow the paint manufacturer’s recommendations for use over primer.
Any tips for painting realistic country bus shelters?
After priming, build up colour with thin coats. You can add subtle weathering with dry-brushing lighter tones on edges and using thin washes in corners and around the base to suggest dirt and wear. Take your time and let each layer dry fully before adding the next.
How should I protect the finished paintwork?
Once you are happy with the paint and any weathering, you can seal the model with a clear varnish compatible with your paints and primer (for example, a matt or satin clear coat). Apply in light coats to avoid obscuring detail and allow to dry thoroughly before placing the shelters on your layout.
